Our children are the church of tomorrow and it is our desire to see them grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Our children’s department has flourished into a thriving program with classes for children ages 2 to 12. The teaching staff seeks to affirm parental Bible-based education. The Children’s program also includes summer camp, vacation Bible school and kids club, a weekly Bible club program.
Sabbath School
We provide Sabbath school classes for children ages 2 through 12. We currently have four classes: toddlers (2-3 years), preschoolers (4-5 years), 1st through 3rd grade and 4th through 6th grade. Before classes begin, the children worship together with their families during our song and prayer portion of the service. Classes are taught in Hebrew and include a Bible story, crafts and application. Our goal is to help our children know the Lord Yeshua as their personal Savior, to teach them the Word of God in its fullness and to encourage them to study it on their own.
Kids’ Club
We desire to see our children grow spiritually, have additional outlets for learning the Scriptures and to develop friendships with the other children. We provide a mid-week Kid's Club for children ages 3 to 12 for a time of games, crafts and a lesson based on biblical values. Additionally, there are special activities for families with children during holidays. We are looking forward to having our own building, where we will be able to serve a larger group of children with a variety of activities.
Summer Camps
Jerusalem Assembly organizes camps for its children and youth as well as others in the believing community in Israel. We host a one-week Vacation Bible School for children ages 2 through 6; a children's camp for 1st through 6th graders; and youth camp. We also take the teens to Eilat for a winter camp during their Hanukkah break.
Teacher Retreats
Twice a year our teaching staff attends national seminars and teacher's training geared at the specific age group they are teaching.
